Cloveswood's Story
Our
history
since time
2014
Discovering need
Cloveswood company – then unnamed – started as a vacation hobby with the simple idea of improving market access for rural farmers in small communities around Bolga, in the Upper-East Region of Ghana. But as servicing the go-between these farmers became difficult and lucrative, the idea of having a company became indispensable.
2015
Quest for excellence
Vision to improve work space for only a handful of farmers become subject for closer consideration in 2015. Having realised the disconnects between people, businesses and markets, the idea for Cloveswood burgeoned; a period that sadly met the demise of one of the company's own – Franklin Clovis Aniebonam (Dec 1990 – Apr 2015). In an ode to Franklin, we composed our company's name from a medley of Franklin's middle name 'Clovis' and his favourite escape 'green woodlands'. Our logo crystallises the years he ventured for excellence.
2016 – 2018
The finest-grain
Thriving on lonely roads after Franklin's demise, Cloveswood startled through the difficulties of developing its business model, to starting business with zero capital. The struggle with making ends meet presented the ultimate ticket to deep thinking, better coordination, inexorable research, immerse learning and courageous efforts. We took on projects that ranged from branding to profiling, restructuring and reinventing – even if it meant unpaid – with the sole aim of discovering the finest-grain in connecting dots.
